5’24: Theatre Project

5’24: theatre project celebrating five years of Moniaive Young Theatre Makers

Moniaive Young Theatre Makers. Twenty young creatives have improvised and devised the show, mashing scenes from past productions together with new writing, clowning and live music, with a little bit of Shakespeare, fairy magic and a few paper aeroplanes.

5’24 is an ensemble dive into themes of belonging, friendship, planetary and human justice, exile and home. The 5’24 company champions the agency of young people in making the world a better place, telling stories of the under-dog with their characteristic humour, verbatim theatre and characters that speak truth to power.

If you loved Threads at Loreburn Hall, Dumfries Slow Fashion Festival in October 2022 or The Little Match Girl Strikes Back at the Brigend Theatre in June 2023, don’t miss the Young Theatre Makers new interactive theatre experience at OST on September 21st.
